GoPassy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application GoPassy (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

When you use GoPassy, we may collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and encrypted password through Firebase Authentication.
• Pass Data: The passes you create, including names, headlines, and URLs, are stored in Google Firebase Firestore.
• Subscription Data: If you subscribe to GoPassy Pro, we store your subscription status and expiration date. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment information.
• Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as app opens, feature usage, and crash reports to improve the app experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the GoPassy service
• Authenticate your account and manage your passes
• Process and manage your subscription status
• Send you verification emails and important account notifications
• Analyze usage patterns to improve app performance and features
• Respond to your support inquiries

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers, which employ industry-standard encryption and security measures. We use Firebase Authentication for secure login, and Firestore security rules ensure each user can only access their own data.

QR code images are not stored in our database. They are generated on-the-fly from your saved URLs each time you view a pass, reducing data exposure.

4. Third-Party Services

GoPassy uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics) — Firebase Privacy Policy
• Apple StoreKit (Subscription management) — Apple Privacy Policy
• Render (Backend server for .pkpass generation) — Pass data is processed transiently and not stored on the server

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share data with the third-party service providers listed above, solely for the purpose of operating the app.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and passes for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the app, all your passes and profile data are permanently removed from our database. Note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription — you must cancel that separately in your device's Settings.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app
• Request information about how your data is used
• Opt out of analytics (by limiting ad tracking in your device settings)

8. Children's Privacy

GoPassy is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
